CLASS SCHEDULES
The schedule is based on anticipated enrollment and may change at any time. Please call prior to attending a class for the first time for verification. Class schedules are available under ENROLLMENT.

CLASS PLACEMENT
Class placement is based upon the students experience. All students are individuals with very different talents, skills, and ability levels and they will not all progress in the same rate. It is not uncommon to repeat a level for 1-3 years. To maintain a high quality of dance education, students are placed in classes based on their current skill level, not prior class placement. Students may need extra help and a slightly slower pace to master new steps that may come easier to others. Careful consideration is used when placing students in a class. The most Important thing is that the student enjoys the class and feels happy. A happy learning environment is sure to yield progress. EDC is a progressive studio in which all our classes are challenging. We encourage all of our students to work hard to become the best dancer they can be, but they must work at a level that is suitable for them, Many students are discouraged when placed in too difficult a class. We want dance to be a happy and enjoyable experience for each student. Good dance training is based on trust in the teacher that he/she always has the students best interest at heart, and that is our #1 priority here at Expressions Dance Company!

ATTENDANCE
Consistent attendance is imperative, as absences and tardiness can hold back an entire class, and the studio cannot jeopardize its responsibilities to the rest of the class for one student. Please make every effort to have your child to class on time. The number of times a student practices per week, and his/her attendance will have an
influence on how quickly he or she progresses. One adult may participate with students in Tiny Toes if needed.

MISSED CLASSES
Please notify the studio if you are going to miss class or be late. Missed classes can be made up within 2 weeks of the missed class. NO refunds or pro-rated fees due to missed classes because of illness, vacations or other attendance matters. Any class cancelled by the studio will be rescheduled. The studio reserves the right to drop a dancer from a class or team due to excessive tardiness or absenteeism.

LOBBY ETIQUETTE
We ask that conversation and other children not be allowed to get too loud. Also, if you do have other children with you we ask that they are supervised by a Parent/Guardian and kept under control in the dance area. EDC is not responsible or held liable for any child that is not registered as a student. We aim to have a fun, positive environment within our EDC Dance Family. If there are any concerns please address them with the faculty so we may find a solution immediately.

CLASSROOM ETIQUETTE
Students will be respectful of themselves, their classmates, their instructor, Assistant Teachers, Mentors, and other parents. We expect students to be on time, dress properly and have a good attitude. If problems arise the student may be asked to sit down or leave the class. We will also speak with the parents if a problem arises. No gum chewing, food, or inappropriate behavior in the dance area.

CLASS OBSERVATION
We feel students learn best when there are no distractions so we are asking parents to wait in the designated area or watch from the viewing window. Parents in Tiny Toes or Tiny Tumblers are allowed in the dance room to participate with their little one. Please supervise any other children you may have with you in the designated area.

PARENT REPONSIBILITY
We encourage parents and guardians to be active in their child's dance education. If a problem arises, discuss it with Ms. Janette or the other instructor rather than with other parents. We strive to have great communication between parents, instructors, and students about everything that is happening in the studio. please feel free to call or e-mail to set up a time to discuss any questions or concerns you may have.

PICTURES AND VIDEOTAPING
For security and safety reasons we so not allow videotaping or photos of any class unless approved by the instructor. Pictures are allowed only before or after classes, with the instructors and other parents' permission.
